Black Box, a provider of advanced IT solutions known for its expertise in digital infrastructure, has announced a strategic partnership with Wind River, an Aptiv company that deals in intelligent edge software.

The collaboration aims to deliver next-generation intelligent edge and private cloud solutions across industries such as industrial, manufacturing, retail, financial services, automotive, and telecommunications.

The partnership combines Wind River’s cutting-edge technologies—including the Wind River Cloud Platform with its powerful workload migration capabilities and eLxr Pro—with Black Box’s global integration expertise and customer-focused approach. Together, the companies plan to help enterprises modernize operations, transform digital infrastructure, and drive innovation and excellence across all customer initiatives.

Wind River Cloud Platform is a production-ready, distributed Kubernetes solution designed for virtualized and containerized applications, offering robust orchestration, automation, and analytics tools to save time and streamline operations. It empowers companies to deploy and manage complex cloud architectures even in the most mission-critical environments.

Built on the open-source, enterprise-grade Debian derivative eLxr project, Wind River’s eLxr Pro adds commercial enterprise support and maintenance to the community distribution. This enables customers to adopt scalable, secure, and highly reliable Linux solutions that address the challenges of cloud-to-edge deployments.

Under this partnership, Black Box has also signed a separate agreement with Wind River to execute end-user customer agreements across multiple geographies, expanding the reach of their combined solutions.
