Accenture and Microsoft have been chosen by Essity to assist the multinational hygiene and health organization in accelerating the use of AI agents to generate value, drive efficiency, and spur growth through increased business agility.

The businesses will collaborate at Essity’s AI Center of Excellence as part of the multi-year partnership. Microsoft’s cutting-edge technologies, including Azure, Copilot Studio, and Power Platform, will be used by Accenture’s top cloud, data, and AI specialists who have extensive industry and functional knowledge.

They will also work with Microsoft specialists to provide technical advice and support.

Together, the businesses will build a strong and adaptable cloud-based technology platform that will offer next-generation AI capabilities. Essity will be able to test and scale solutions across their primary business activities and processes on this platform, which will have a transformative effect.

Cross-functional teams will test, monitor, and gradually enhance procurement and finance operations throughout this initial phase of the partnership. In the long run, Essity intends to implement AI throughout the organization to reimagine additional end-to-end business procedures, opening new avenues for development and value.
